Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez is a popular Mexican-American singer, actress and music producer. Her mother raised her within the USA she had to face a lot of racial taunts which gave her feeling of being a bit unpopular. The confidence started to build in the ninth grade when she appeared in an audition. She received a lot of praise by the judges for her vocal ability. This not only increased her confidence but was also a change in the direction she pursued in her professional career. She attended the New York's Julliard School at the age of 22. At the age of 23, her first Broadway show with Paul Simon's The Capeman, and her film debut You've Got Mail were both her big break. The role of The Lady of The Lake became her biggest success, and earned her an award called the Tony Award in addition to critical acclaim for her role. Later in the same year she joined the ABC series Grey's Anatomy as Dr. Callie Torres and gained wider recognition for it. She is known as a performer and also released a single and an extended play. Additionally, she works as an LGBT activist.
