The birth of Kellie Dawn Pickler on June 28 1986 Pickler experienced a turbulent childhood. The mother she had left when she was just two in order to get out of the abuse of her partner. Then, in 1995, she re-entered back to the world of Pickler, and took the custody rights. However, it was not the best time for her. The grandparents of Pickler raised Pickler from age 12 up to the age of adulthood. In the absence of her parents, Pickler became too busy caring for her siblings. She confessed that, in the absence of parents Pickler had no time to take classes. She instead began in the process of learning to take care of her family members at a younger age.
